Two Colored Ellofaynes

Description

Hey folks, have two colored images of my OC Ellofayne. I've been working on creating a "constant face" so she will always look the same when I paint her. And playing with outfits. I really don't have any colored ones on here at all, so here are some (and I remember why... I like black and white better -.- )

key characteristics: can control darkness, has gray hair in the front / bangs, suuuuuper long brown hair (past her butt) usually accompanied by Marky her ferret or other assorted mythical creature friends. Fun thing about the bracer in the right: that's one I made! yaaaaay ellofayne.deviantart.com/art/T… (shameless self promotion is happening right... NAO :icondragonstoolleather:

I was trying to make the cape look camouflaged, and I guess I did a good job :XD: I didn't realize I used the same color of the bushes as her cape so uh... super blending powers!! XD. Don't ask about the BG on the one... I don't know what the heck that is, a planet? Yeah... anyway also useful for ideas when I commission people I now have something better I can send them as reference (though I have always been happy with the commissions anyway :D)

For my :iconprojectcomment: folks, please rip this apart. I was so bummed about it. I don't know what I did wrong! I have been feeling pretty confident about my work lately, but when it comes to "close up" characters like this, not narrative scenes but just THIS I feel like I am extremely lacking. (Just a note, they are two separate images, so the lighting is two different sources for each. The one on the left, from like the right side (I guess you can best tell with her hair) and the one on the right, from the top left (as you can tell from the hood). I have one other kind of pose like this, of a different character for someone else too, and that one also was pretty disappointing for me. Thanks!

Since you asked as to rip this apart :scissorschase:, I'll do my best to be honest! Keep in mind that  I'm only stating my opinion so that you can improve! hammie kiss Here goes:
Sea Green Bullet - F2U!  The proportions are WAY off. The head's too big for the rest of the body and the hands are tiny. I recommend studying some human anatomy!
Sea Green Bullet - F2U! The watercolors look kinda messy but in a bad kind of way. TBH it looks like you're not very experienced using them but keep practicing!
Sea Green Bullet - F2U! The pose in the left one looks unnatural. The back is too hunched, the left arm seems pretty long and the pose looks uncomfortable and awkward in general.
Sea Green Bullet - F2U! I suggest inking your drawing with tech pens instead of keeping the pencil outlines. Tech pens don't smear and make your drawings look much more polished and defined. (check out this awesome tutorial --> goo.gl/5vHZDW !)
Sea Green Bullet - F2U! Her armor on the right pic doesn't look very convincing and seems like you didn't really know what you were doing it (like it hasn't been very well thought out). Also, I can't tell what kind of material it's made out of ^^;

With all that said, I actually like your drawings :) The colors are nice and so is the character design. :)
