yaaay! Here is another request finished, for my friend :iconashenwings777: He basically told me to so whatever I thought of him or thought of when I thought of him? Anyway, it took a different path haha.

So when I think of ashenwings777  I think of someone who is really nice and always tries to help other people and put them before himself. I also think of your art. So I knew I wanted to do something entirely that you would like, so I put yourself before me, like you always do for others! So I went through your favorites and looked at what you were liking recently! There happened to be a lot by NanoMortis, which is great! I was familiar with their work and it did remind me of yours with all the shapes. So I pretty much took the shapes and ran with it. I took one of your characters (one of my favorite things you have done!) ashenwings777.deviantart.com/a… and I always imagined her like an awesome queen or mythological goddess or something. So I painted her flying out of the world, looking down on all of her little worshippers slowly getting smaller into the distance. But all of the people are just shapes. And then lots of swooshiness and more shapes to just... give the feeling of movement and more swooshiness? haha!

I've gotta say I didn't quite achieve the perspective how I wanted, but I decided to add in that giant light ray filter to help zone your eyes in more to distance, and increase her awesomeness. So that is entirely digital, the rest is watercolor and sharpies! A pretty well rounded mixed media piece, I'd say... I wasn't really sure about the rays of light, because while they look badass they make the piece not traditional anymore, you know? It looks different from the original. I feel like when I edit contrasts and that normally I am trying to restore them into looking like the original again, never adding to them. But this one is REALLY manipulated. It invokes interesting thoughts in me, what is art, how does the digital age effect it, blablabla. Because if that was traditional, it would have needed to be ENTIRELY planned and had taken really long, careful painting time. But digitally, I literally threw on a filter in like 2 seconds. Hmm..... interesting. But again, I figured ashen would like it better that way and it reflects his work and things he likes more closely, I think. so yeah! Here you go. If you want it next time I see you you can have it! It's 6x9 inches.

The reds and blues in this piece create a really beautiful effect on the subject and the way you have used the object with the lighting comming from behind it is really breath taking.
