Description
Okay! Here's my second piece for #artistmonth, this one is Aria Fawn, AKA She Paints With Blood!!!! I adore adore adore her work. Every time she posts something new I just squee and wiggle inside. She was actually the first artist I ever bought an original from! It is really small, but it is so adorable I love it to pieces. And I will someday get something bigger, for sure, I just love everything by this amazing artist. Her works are so whimsical and beautiful! She is on deviantART as , and is represented through Valkarie Gallery in Colorado and has lots of shows there! I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wish I could go to one
You can also follow her pretty much everywhere, and the awesome thing about this artist is she posts different things in the different places: instagram has more WIP's, and her facebook has others, as well as finished pieces She also does amazing c.d. album art so if you are looking for some awesome art for your music....
My own artist rant: Well I was excited about the piece, now I am a bit disappointed... I think I would love it if it weren't for the other one I did being just so epic! I feel like this one is shadowed, and I really didn't want it to be!!! I definitely think it has something to do with the paper- A while back when I was really poor I bought some really cheap watercolor paper and while it was ok for the time I vowed NEVER EVER to use it again..... but kept it for test pieces and color swatches and all that...... and of course I happen to grab it for this piece. AGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear that stuff just turns everything gray. That's why the background looks so icky. I started painting my normal way but you really can't layer with it, so once I figured it out I think everything else turned out ok but just in my own head.... I wanted it to be so awesome for Aria. But I do still like it I guess And she usually wears more lovely black lace but I didn't want her to disappear in the rock so I had to go with that ethereal fairy outfit
